HKU Vietnam Alumni Homecoming 2025
03/09/2025
On a warm evening in late August, HKU Vietnam was delighted to host the very first gathering of our alumni community in Ho Chi Minh City. More than a simple reunion, this special event marked an important milestone in HKU Vietnam’s development over the past three years.
Three Years of “Connecting Vietnam”
Since its establishment in 2022, HKU Vietnam has carried the mission of “Connecting Vietnam”—bridging HKU’s global knowledge with the academic, business, and social communities in Vietnam. Over the past three years, HKU Vietnam has steadily affirmed its role through key initiatives across the three pillars of Education – Research – Impact:
- Education: Introducing HKU’s diverse portfolio of programmes—from Undergraduate, Master’s, and MBA degrees to Executive Education for senior leaders—bringing world-class learning opportunities to students and young professionals in Vietnam.
- Research: Hosting international conferences, seminars, and lectures to bring cutting-edge knowledge and research outcomes closer to learners, while fostering academic exchange between Vietnam, Hong Kong, and the world.
- Impact: Creating real impact through skill- and career-development workshops, immersive trips connecting students with academic and corporate experiences in Hong Kong and Vietnam, and innovation idea competitions that inspire creativity and practical application.
Through these efforts, HKU Vietnam has become not only a trusted destination for aspiring students seeking world-class education in Hong Kong, but also a reliable partner to Vietnam’s academic and business communities.
A First Milestone for the Alumni Community in Vietnam
Alumni Homecoming 2025 marked the very first occasion where HKU Vietnam officially brought together alumni living and working in Vietnam. The evening unfolded in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where alumni shared their journeys, revisited memories, and celebrated the pride of being part of Asia’s Global University.
The event also welcomed HKU Vietnam’s trusted partners and prospective students. The exchange of perspectives across generations and sectors opened meaningful conversations, further highlighting the strength and growth potential of the HKU community in Vietnam.
Looking Ahead – Research, Education, Impact
With this inaugural step, HKU Vietnam will continue to serve as a strategic bridge—strengthening alumni ties, supporting future students, and advancing collaboration across the three pillars of Research – Education – Impact.
Alumni Homecoming 2025 may only be the beginning, but it has already marked a new chapter in the journey of connection, sharing, and building sustainable value for the HKU community in Vietnam.
